Week 7 : Almost Record Breaking

The Loch Ness Burrow broke the 200 point barrier for the first time in what feels like forever, demolishing his unfortunate opponent who would have beaten any other team in the league this week. This is particularly shocking as we mostly had another low scoring week with 8/12 teams falling below projections. This got me thinking, where does this score stack up all time? Lets look at some records . I don't know where 201.85 points ranks all time, but it is not our highest score ever. That record belongs to Tyreek Sharks (hey, that's me!) with 208.60 in 2019 Our lowest score ever belongs to KnockinOnEvansDoor (Ryan) in 2017 with 43.50. KY (Kevin) came very close this week with a score of 46.80. Imagine if we had been able to break both the high and low scores all time in the same week! If those teams had faced each other this week Loch Ness Burrow would have 4x'd KY's score, something I am 100% positive we've never seen Joe Burrow came close to the most passing yard...

Week 6 : Where are all the Touchdowns?

The NFL is having a down year for scoring. Real life teams are scoring less than most years  , but that difference isn't too shocking. An average of 21.6 points/game vs last year's 23. Fantasy points scored, on the other hand, are down 22% vs last season! So um, how do NFL teams keep scoring points without fantasy players reaping the rewards? Field Goals instead of touchdowns, defensive scores, etc. Which leads us to ask: where are the touchdowns? Seriously what happened to them? All I know is that we're facing another week where the majority of our teams failed to reach their projections. Matchups The Loch Ness Burrow vs Oh Godwin He Can See Man, talk about trades paying off quickly! Burrow traded for Ja'maar Chase late last week and he combined with the real Burrow to score 66 points in their win over New Orleans. This team was also wise to start Ken Walker III this week as he continues his breakout campaign. Godwin had a fairly solid week with the exception of the B...

Week 5: Power Rankings

He can't keep getting away with this... can he? Monday Night Football. Chiefs vs Raiders. There's a lot on the line for the 1 win Raiders team, but more importantly there's a chance for the only undefeated team in our league to get taken down a peg. Mahomes throws his 4th TD of the game and shortly after Davante Adams catches his second (on only 3 total catches btw) when the Raiders i nexplicably go for 2 with 4:27 remaining  . 4 points separate the hero of our story (me obviously) from the two time champion and undefeated LAMARtians. All we need is one more TD for Mahomes or one more huge play for Adams.  Mahomes misses the deep throw to Mecole Hardman (or maybe Hardman runs the wrong route, you can never tell with this guy) leading to a KC punt and we get one more shot for Adams. And then.. this happens . On a final bomb TD pass attempt he's taken out by his own teammate, sealing the game for LAMARtians who now have 2 straight victories of 5 points or fewer and one ...

Week 4: The Fall of the Machine

Guest written entry by Roswell Lamartian Manager. The author of these blogs does an outstanding job diving into the overall game that is Football. Greg is an insightful man that looks into the overall picture of Fantasy Football and conveys thoughts beyond just his team. He likes to give comments about how one should start every available player against the Lion's Defense.  Geno with a huge 35.9 Penny with a monster 34.2 Dissly with a solid 11.9 at the TE position (9 teams could have used that) Myers putting in 15 with his foot DK Metcalf with the 19.4 The Matchups Roswell LAMARtians vs The Terminator (mo… mo?) I know you reader, you like to read the first few entries and then scroll to your matchup. I understand. I’m just like you, except this week it’s different. This week, I’m writing the show. And with that comes perks. Great perks. Like deciding which matchup you’ll read first!  This matchup had us all hooked from the beginning. Thanks in large part to the parity of the ...
